Object storage provider Scality has launched the ARTESCA Cyber Guarantee: a $100,000 financial compensation plan paid directly to customers if external cyberattacks result in the destruction or encryption of immutably stored data on ARTESCA. Scality notes: “Unlike complex vendor programs that advertise large sums but are hard to claim and often limited to top-tier enterprises, our guarantee is designed to be clear, accessible, and tailored for the mid-market. The ARTESCA Cyber Guarantee is straightforward: $100,000 payout with simple eligibility criteria. It applies to all ARTESCA customers who keep the platform up-to-date and use Object Lock in compliance mode.”

A customer protecting 50TB of data with ARTESCA may only spend a few thousand dollars annually but still qualifies for the full $100,000 payout. This represents a much higher proportional assurance compared to programs tied to large enterprise purchase commitments. Importantly, Scality does not require customers to purchase special support or service contracts to be eligible. For more details, visit the official website.

SK Hynix has completed the business restructuring of its U.S.-based NAND flash subsidiary, Solidigm. Previously, SK Hynix’s U.S. NAND business assets, R&D responsibilities, and sales organizations were scattered across SK Hynix, Solidigm, and a separate NAND Product Solutions entity. Now, all NAND Product Solutions assets have been transferred to a new entity, Solidigm Inc. This restructuring lays the groundwork for the establishment of SK Hynix’s U.S.-based AI Co., which will subsequently oversee Solidigm and its NAND/SSD business operations.

Teradata has introduced new agentic and multi-modal data capabilities for its Enterprise Vector Store, including:
  • Unstructured Data Integration: Automated ingestion and processing of documents, PDFs, images, and audio, with video support coming soon.
  • Hybrid Search: Combines semantic and lexical search with metadata-driven techniques to deliver more accurate, context-aware results.
  • Multi-Modal Embeddings: Supports text, image, and audio embeddings with richer semantic representations for enhanced AI capabilities.
  • Higher Embedding Dimensions: Up to 8K dimensions to improve accuracy and capture nuanced data insights.
  • LangChain Integration: Direct integration enables enterprise-scale RAG pipelines, rapid prototyping to production, and agentic execution that extends beyond search—empowering AI agents to retrieve context and implement outcomes through governed actions and autonomous workflow orchestration.

Teradata’s Enterprise Vector Store is engineered for enterprise-scale AI, capable of ingesting millions of documents, thousands of files per hour, and multi-modal data streams with proper configuration. It delivers linear scalability across billions of vectors and high-dimensional embeddings, supports over 1,000 concurrent queries without performance loss, optimizes cost structures by eliminating redundant infrastructure, and ensures enterprise-grade governance across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
